Real-time Bowling Green weather radar:
Today 10/16 – Sunny & Cool – High 65/Tonight – Clear; frost possible – Low 37
Good morning, Bowling Green! This week has been absolutely beautiful and it looks to continue into the weekend. Following the cold front last night, high pressure has settled in over the region making for a fantastic fall weekend.
Over the next couple days, temperatures will be cooler than they’ve been in a while, thanks to a deep-digging trough in the upper-levels.
Temperatures will get pretty low tonight and frost is a possibility in the early morning hours. Otherwise it looks to be a great, chilly night with clear skies. Grab a blanket and get cozy.
Saturday 10/17 – Sunny & Cooler – High 58/Saturday Night – Clear; frost possible – Low 33
With high pressure locked in and a deep upper-level trough funneling in cool air, Saturday is going to feel much cooler than what we’ve been seeing. Temperatures will be well below average for this time of year. You’ll probably want to start dragging out the sweaters if you haven’t already.
Saturday night brings a chance for frost as temperatures drop to near-freezing. If you have any plants outdoors that are sensitive to cold temperatures, you might want to consider bringing them inside or covering them from the frost.
Sunday 10/18 – Sunny & Cool – High 60/Sunday Night – Clear; frost possible – Low 36
Sunday will be much like Saturday with highs barely breaking 60 degrees, if at all. There will be plenty of sunshine, though, so at least it won’t feel too cold outside.
This high pressure is not going anywhere for the next few days so get used to the sunny, cool weather across southern Kentucky. I’m not complaining!
I hope you get to enjoy the gorgeous weekend ahead! Continue your daily check of @WxOrNotBG for more updates.
