Very hot temperatures and windy conditions are causing wild fires to ignite across Texas with one, in particular, causing much damage. A large fire in Bastrop County has burned 4,200 acres and destroyed 9 homes already. The image below shows the conditions in Texas at 3:00 pm, and, as you can see, it is incredibly hot! It sure makes me grateful for this cold front coming!

The fire is only 15% contained, but the Emergency Management in Texas is continuing with their best efforts to stop it from destroying anything else.

Not only is there a large wildfire in Bastrop County, but other uncontrolled fires are igniting in other areas of the state, as well. People are being asked to leave their homes and not to engage the fires.
