Hope the first half of your week has gone well. After some strong storms rolled through Monday, cooler temperatures have begun to filter into the area and will continue to do so today and tomorrow. It’s nice to feel some relief after experiencing such muggy conditions last week and the beginning of this week.

Today, temperatures are only going to hit about the mid-80s for those of us in Bowling Green, with a mix of sun and clouds. The average high temperature for this time of year in Bowling Green is 90°. Dew points in the 60s (rather than 70s) will make it feel a lot less humid as well!

Clouds will increase as we move into the evening and overnight hours, due to scattered showers and storms moving through the region. Low temperatures tonight will drop to around the 70° mark.

Thursday, 7/23 – Mostly Cloudy; Showers and Storms – High 84˚ / Thursday Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 67˚

A stationary boundary sitting across the southeast will allow rain chances to continue Thursday, beginning early morning and hanging around until the late afternoon/early evening.

While most of this rain will remain south of Kentucky, we look to be on the northern tier of the disturbance, so showers and storms will be making their way across our area.

Thursday 1PM
NAM Forecasted Precipitation, Valid 1 PM Thurs, via COD

Due to mostly cloudy skies and rain chances, Thursday looks to be a bit cooler with highs in the low to mid-80s. The rain will be cleared by Thursday night, leaving partly cloudy skies.

Friday, 7/24 – Mostly Sunny – High 88˚ / Friday Night – Mostly Clear – Low 70˚

Friday looks to be a pretty nice day overall, with clouds clearing by late morning. High pressure at the surface will keep us dry as upper-level ridging builds back in to the region. This feature will cause temperatures to increase into the upper-80s Friday and into the 90s by the weekend.
