Hot, Hot, Hot Bowling Green Weather

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 6/22 – Hot; Mostly Sunny – High 93° / Tonight – Mostly Clear – Low 75°

A ridge of high pressure across the southeastern United States will keep us quite warm for the next several days. Southerly surface winds will add more heat to the equation. Add in the fact that we’ll have mostly sunny skies today, well we’ll have a pretty hot day today. Highs  will be around 93°. However, the moisture in the atmosphere will make it feel like 95° to 100°. Be sure to stay cool!

Some isolated showers may be possible this early evening. However, this activity, if it even does happen, will quickly diminish. Lows will be around 75°

Tuesday 6/23 – Hot; Isolated Strong Storms – High 93° / Tue Night – Partly Cloudy; Isolated Storms – Low 74°

The heat will continue on Tuesday. Most of the day should be partly cloudy, with southerly winds once more. This will keep temperatures around 93° in the afternoon. Combining the humidity into this once again, it will feel more like it’s around 100°.

A very weak cold front will approach the region during the afternoon and evening. This will be the focus for the development of isolated strong to severe storms. The main threats will be large hail and gusty winds. As of now, the Storm Prediction Center has placed a “marginal” risk of severe weather just to the north of Bowling Green.

Isolated storms will continue in the overnight. Lows will be around 74°.

Wednesday 6/24 – Hot; Partly Cloudy – High 90° / Wed Night – Mostly Clear – Low 75°

Our wind to start the day will be out of the north, this is a response to the cold front moving through the region and high pressure developing on the backside. However, this high pressure will quickly diminish and wind will once again return more southerly. With partly cloudy skies, highs will likely reach 90°, but feel more like 100°to 105° due to the added soil moisture from the rain on Tuesday.
