Sunny Friday & Beautiful Weekend Ahead

Real-time Bowling Green radar:

Today 6/5 – Mostly sunny; Iso’d PM Shower – High 85˚ / Tonight – Partly cloudy with iso’d showers – 64˚

Good Morning! The sunshine has finally arrived along with warmer temperatures, making that pool visit even more refreshing. Temperatures today are forecasted to reach the mid 80s across the region and dew points could break 70 in some areas, as seen in the dew point map below. Are you missing the humidity? Don’t worry, it’ll come back later in the weekend.

Tonight will be calm and partly cloudy as high pressure continues to dominate the region. I’m thinking a bonfire under the stars is much needed with this weather.

Saturday – Mostly sunny with iso’d showers – High 85˚ / Saturday Night – Partly cloudy – Low 66˚

Saturday looks to be a repeat of Friday as high pressure keeps the skies mostly clear of clouds. A low pressure system off to the west will start making its way toward our area which could increase clouds later in the day.

Saturday is a great day to make plans to be outdoors. Take advantage of the Free Fishing Weekend across the state Saturday and Sunday!

Sunday – 90˚ (!) – Partly cloudy/Sunday Night – 70˚ – Mostly cloudy with rain chances increasing overnight

We have a chance of seeing temperatures break 90˚ on Sunday, with dew points reaching well into the 70s for some. With Gulf moisture being advected into the region, clouds will increase throughout the day and so will humidity values. Be careful out there – it’s going to get muggy.

The low pressure system seen in the map from Saturday will have made its way east by Sunday evening and our rain chances will increase overnight as a result. Overall, it looks to be a hot, sticky weekend that feels about average for the beginning of June.
