Well, today has been incredibly water logged. We have seen an 1″ to 1.5″ of rainfall since midnight last night, and it just feels like it has rained much longer than it actually has. The rain has moved out of the area gradually today, and thus, we are seeing temps actually climb pretty nicely.

Short term models take the temps into the middle 60s across the region this afternoon, and that outta feel nice after a long morning of rainfall.

As we head into the overnight hours, clouds look to hang tough but precipitation should be ending across the region and will allow temps to fall into the upper 40s.

Wednesday: Partly sunny. High of 64ºF. Wed. night: Increasing clouds. Low of 46ºF.

Tomorrow actually looks (as opposed to what I thought it would be in my morning post) amazing. Even though we’re likely to see some cloud cover in the morning hours, the clouds should quickly clear out by mid-day, leading to some wonderful temps across southern KY.

Look for temps to top out in the mid 60s, and I would be if there is enough sunshine, some could make a run for the upper 60s. Overnight, we’ll see clouds increase as the next weather maker begins to move some moisture into the region. Lows look to drop into the mid 40s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Shower chances increase by evening. High of 62ºF. Thur. night: Cloudy, with showers and isolated thunderstorms. Low of 57ºF.

Thursday is gonna be weird. The next Gulf low pressure system will move northward and to our west, and will continue to advect lots of moisture and warmer temps into the region. However, much of Thursday will be just cloudy. Depending on how far northward the warm front gets during the day will determine daytime highs. I have highs in the lower 60s.

As we head into Thursday evening and overnight, the warm front will pass to our north, and will lead to another run up of temps right before midnight. This could be the high for the day on Thursday. Rain will move into the region Thursday evening, and will continue into the overnight hours.

There could be some thunder overnight, and that is something to watch and hope for. Lows will bottom out in the mid to upper 50s.
