As a moisture-starved cold front works east of our region, expect temperatures to tank as cold air advects in from the northwest.  In response, northwest winds of 10-20 mph will create wind chill values in the single digits.

Saturday – Sunny – High 27º / Sat Night – Mostly Cloudy – Low 20º

Saturday will warm up just a bit, but it’s nothing to get excited about. Hey, we’ll take what we can get, right? Sunny skies and mid 20’s isn’t bad after what we’ve been through the past couple of days.

Sunday – Mostly Cloudy – High 40º / Sun Night – Rain – Low 34º

High pressure off to our east will help pump warm, moist air into our region from the south on Sunday. The result will be high temperatures near 40˚!

The bad new is that a lot of rain looks to be in store Sunday night into Monday. We can’t have it all, folks. Get ready for a soaking end to the weekend.

Our weather pattern will get very interesting next week, as a series of disturbances work across the viewing area.  A few of these systems are hinting at the possibility of wintry precipitation.

You all know we don’t like to get into too much detail with systems that are beyond 3-4 days out, due to the fact that so many changes can take place, but here’s a little sample for fun.

The GFS current thinking is that we could see a nice round of the white stuff Wednesday night into Thursday…

Again…this is just for FUN, it’s NOT a forecast.  It’s just nice to see a legit snow chance popping up on a few of the models…especially if you’re a snow lover like me!
