Monday’s Bowling Green Weather Update

Real-Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

This Afternoon – Decreasing Clouds; Breezy & Cool – High 63º / Tonight – Partly Cloudy; Cold — Low 33º

3pm 50º – 6pm 45º – 9pm 42º – 12am 39º – 3am 36º – 6am 33º

After a wet end to our morning, conditions have finally dried out. The cold front continued its trek through southern Kentucky late this morning/early afternoon while bringing in breezy and cooler conditions. High temperatures actually topped out this morning at 63º before abruptly falling into the 40’s this afternoon.

The good news is no more rainfall will be anticipated as the front has pushed well to our east. Winds will slowly die down through this evening as clouds decrease while allowing a few peaks of sunshine to make an appearance. Otherwise, look for partly cloudy skies tonight as lows cool off into the lower 30’s.

Tue – Mostly Sunny; Chilly – High 45º / Tue Night – Partly Cloudy; Cold – Low 26º

Tuesday will feature another unseasonably cold one for the area as highs struggle to reach the middle 40’s. Winds will shift from our NW to W during the day helping keep the cooler air around Tuesday. Despite the chilly conditions, plenty of sunshine will fill the sky as we work towards the holiday.

The evening and overnight period will remain calm as we’ll see a few clouds hang around. Partly cloudy skies win out through early Wednesday morning as temperatures drop into the upper 20’s.

Wed – Increasing Clouds; Chilly – High 46º / Wed Night – Mostly Cloudy; Rain/Snow Showers – Low 33º

By mid-week a quick hitting clipper system will dive in from our west-northwest late Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. However, this system will lack any real deep moisture and at best, will provide a few rain/snow showers for the area. On top of that, models continue to show a northward track which would affect mainly central & northern Kentucky.

With that said, we’ll keep a slight chance for some light precipitation overnight. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies through this period with temperatures dropping into the lower 30’s for lows.
