The last few runs of the NAM, GFS, and EURO have been hinting at the possibility of some snow across the region Halloween night and into Saturday morning.
Here is the simulated reflectivity from the NAM early Saturday morning. A decent batch of precipitation will be moving through Friday night and exiting early Saturday morning.
Here is a look at the NAM temperatures by 7am Saturday. Temperatures are in the low 30’s, meaning snow showers (if enough moisture is left) are more than possible.
The GFS tries to move colder temperatures in earlier than the NAM, but also pushes the heaviest precipitation just to our east.
Here is a look at the Weather Prediction Centers probabilities for greater than an inch of snow through Saturday morning. Not much chance for an accumulation in Bowling Green, but a decent shot for areas just to our east.
Keep in mind that the ground temperatures are warm and any snow that falls will most likely melt. Also, the precipitation coming from the north and west will allow for snow to reach the surface with temperatures slightly above freezing. All in all, we may see some snow showers Friday evening into early Saturday morning, but nothing that will amount to much. Eastern Kentucky and into the mountains may pick up an inch or two though!
