Thu – Mostly Cloudy; Sct’d Showers – High 78º / Thu Night – Mostly Cloudy; Rain Likely – Low 63º

As we enter late week, mother nature will introduce more rain chances back into the forecast. The aforementioned high pressure will quickly weaken and work eastward towards the Mid-Atlantic. A stationary boundary will situate itself right over the state by Thursday evening as several disturbances ride across the region.

This stationary front will meander across the Commonwealth for a few days while bringing several shots of rain with embedded storms for Bowling Green weather. For Thursday, scattered showers will be a good bet starting in the morning with more development throughout the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will reach the upper 70’s with mild overnight lows in the lower 60’s. Here’s how the NAM 4KM plays out our first round of activity.

Friday will arrive on a soggy note. As previously mentioned, several disturbances will work across southern Kentucky providing multiple shots of rain and even a few embedded thunderstorms. We can still hang onto one thing and that is….at least it’ll be Friday! Regardless, keep those umbrellas in hand to beat the ongoing showers.

Due to the extensive cloud cover and rounds of rainfall, temperatures will remain quite comfortable as highs reach the lower 70’s. Overnight lows will be cool as temperatures drop into the mid 50’s. The latest precipitation forecast paints moderate rainfall totals into the area. These will range from 1.0” – 1.50” of rainfall through Saturday morning. However, expect more rounds of precipitation through the weekend.
