Isolated Storms Today, Cooler Temps Return

Real-Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today  – Scat’d Storms – High 81º / Tonight – Mostly Clear, Cool – Low 66º

6am 66º – 9am 72º – 12am 79º – 3pm 81º – 6pm 78º

Isolated showers and storms remain a possibility today along the cold front during the morning hours with a lesser chance during the afternoon as the cold front will bring a more northerly wind flow behind it. Weaker forcing along the front and capping during the morning will help inhibit any decent shower development. Lack of instability this afternoon will also lead to lower than originally mentioned thunderstorm chances. The best rain chances today will remain toward southern Indiana. Overall, today will not be a washout. Some areas may not even see a drop of rain. Just be prepared for isolated showers heading out this morning, and maybe a small chance for a pop up shower with afternoon heating.

Monday  – Sunny; Nice – High 72º / Mon Night – Clear, Chilly – Low 52º

Monday kicks off the work week in style! High temperature will remain in the low 70’s after the passing of the cold front with mostly sunny skies. A jacket will be needed early Monday morning. Does this mean summer is over? …Almost, but not quite.

Tuesday  – Sunny, Nice – High 74º / Tues Night – Clear; Chilly – Low 48º

Tuesday will nearly be a repeat of Monday. High temperatures will once again be in the low to mid 70’s. The morning low will be quite chilly. We’re talking upper 40’s kind of chilly! Upper 40’s in September feels more like low 40’s. Bundle up if you are heading out early Tuesday.

…But still not cold enough for snowmen.
