Happy Friday to all! What a great way to end the work week on as plenty of blue skies and sunshine have made for one exceptional weather day. We can send our thanks and gratitude to the high pressure that is currently working eastward into the New England Region from the Great Lakes.

This feature takes full responsibility for the lovely conditions. The evening and overnight hours will be mostly clear and calm. Winds will begin to shift from our southeast resulting into milder overnight lows. In return, look for temperatures to drop into the lower 60’s as a calm night prevails.

Sat – Mostly Sunny; Warmer – High 83º / Sat Night – Partly Cloudy; Mild – Low 66º

The first part of weekend looks great. Will see winds begin to shift more from our south as some low-level moisture and warmth creeps back into the region. Mostly sunny skies will prevail throughout our day before some mid-level clouds builds across southern Kentucky by evening time.

Otherwise look for a nice day with a calm evening and overnight. With increasing cloud cover and southerly winds, expect lows to be mild as temperatures only drop into the mid 60’s.

Not bad, right?!

Good deal.

 Sun – Mostly Cloudy; Sct’d Showers & Storms – High 81º / Sun Night – Partly Cloudy; Cool – Low 56º

Thankfully the weekend kicked off on a nice note. By Sunday, our weather abruptly changes. We’ll what an upper level trough and surface low pressure swing through the Great Lakes Region. Its associated cold front will sweep through the region by Sunday morning/early afternoon.

In return, scattered showers and storms will develop and push through southern Kentucky. On a good note, this does not appear to be a washout. However, if you have any outdoor plans Sunday afternoon just keep an eye in sky and have a backup plan. Otherwise, look for any shower/storm activity to come to an end by Sunday night. Partly cloudy skies will stick around with cooler temperatures in the mid 50’s.
