A few storms could develop and become strong/severe in nature as torrential rainfall, damaging winds, small hail and dangerous lightning will be possible. The SPC has placed all of southern Kentucky in a 5% probability of seeing severe winds (≥58mph) and/ or hail (≥1″) within 25 miles this afternoon and evening.

Lows will be warm as temperatures drop into the low-mid 70’s under partly cloudy skies.

Fri – Mostly Sunny; Hot – High 96º / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy, Warm – Low 73º

The end of the week is near, but boy oh boy will it be steamy. A dome of high pressure will build into the region and settle in for the next several days. Highs will be scorching as temperatures reach the mid, even upper 90s for afternoon highs. Factor in dewpoint values and heat index values will reach the lower 100’s for those feel like conditions.

Stay cool out there…
