It was a very chilly morning across the state, resulting in many record lows across Kentucky. While Bowling Green did not set any record low temperatures, a few locations did. Check out this map from the National Weather Service office in Louisville showing this mornings lows, look at some of the readings in the upper 40s at a few places.
Louisville’s low temperature of 54º broke the record set all the way back in 1928. Lexington dipped down to 51º while Frankfort reached 50° and both of these lows broke records that were set one year ago in 2013. Bowling Green reached 57º at the airport while both Mesonet sites hit 54º, and none of these lows were cold enough to break the record low of 52º set back in 1925.
Tonight will be another chilly night, but it will be tough for any of these locations to break any records tonight. Check out tonight’s forecast low temperatures and the corresponding record lows:
