As we head into tonight, the area of high pressure will slide to the east and our next weather maker will be an area of low pressure system to our southwest. While precipitation will remain in the Mississippi Valley region tonight, we will see a few more clouds in our area tonight with lows falling to around 60 degrees.

Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer tomorrow as southerly winds help to push in warmer air. We will see clouds on the increase throughout the day with isolated thunderstorms becoming possible during the afternoon. It looks like most of the precipitation will stay to our south, but we can’t rule out a few storms here.

The chance for isolated storms will continue into tomorrow night, especially early. Lows will fall into the lower 60s under mostly cloudy skies.

Saturday 7/19 – Mostly Cloudy, Iso’d Thunderstorms – High 84° / Sat Night – Mostly Cloudy, Iso’d Thunderstorms – Low 68°

Isolated thunderstorms will remain in the forecast on Saturday as a stationary front remains to our south. It doesn’t look we will see an all day rain event, but watch out for a few isolated showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.

Otherwise, temperatures will still be cooler than normal as we remain under the influence of an upper level trough. We will see highs in the lower to middle 80s and lows in the upper 60s with mostly cloudy skies.

Rain chances will linger on Sunday, and it is looking like we will begin to see warmer temperatures return by early next week.
