Memorial Day Weekend Forecast

Real-Time Regional Radar:

————————————————————-

Today 5/23 – Departing Clouds – High 79° / Tonight – Clear Skies – Low 58°

With the cold front sliding to our south last night, much better conditions are in store for our Friday. We should see a general decrease in cloud coverage due to the cold front getting rid of all our moisture. We’ll also see those temperatures drop off a bit from the 80s we’ve become accustomed to for the last few days.

We will also have a slight breeze from the north throughout today as our surface flow comes more from the north. However, this won’t have much of an impact on the weather, as it looks like a fabulous day is shaping up!

Tonight we’ll continue to see a decrease in cloud cover. Clearing skies will make way for temperatures to fall back into the mid to upper 50s. So, if you’re out and about tonight, you might want to take a jacket with you.

Saturday 5/24 – Clear Skies – High 80° / Saturday Night – Clear – Low 57°

We’ll see more gorgeous weather on Saturday. High pressure will begin to enter the area that will further clear out the region of any remaining clouds. Our moisture will continue to erode away, meaning humidity values will be quite low. This will make the temperatures feel very nice and the air will remain relatively thin. Expect highs to be right around 80°.

On Saturday night I’ll rinse off that forecast for Saturday because, it’s just about the same. We’ll of course see a decrease in temperatures overnight because that big, glowing thing in the sky during the day won’t be out. We can expect lows in the mid to upper 50s across the region once again.

Sunday 5/25 – Warmer; Sunny – High 86° / Sunday Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 64°

On Sunday the ridging that has caused the high pressure to stay in place over the last couple of days will begin to move to the east. This means we’ll be placed in a more southwesterly flow over the coming days. We’ll feel the effects of this flow immediately. We’ll see a slight increase in temperatures and moisture. This will lead to highs in the mid to upper 80s across the region. It may also feel a bit muggy.

Be sure to enjoy Memorial Day Weekend, and please, grill responsibly…
