Monday Afternoon Update

This Afternoon – Mostly Sunny & Breezy – 87˚ / Tonight – Mostly Clear – Low 57˚

3pm 86˚ – 6pm 80˚ – 9pm 70˚ – 12am 65˚ – 3am 61˚ – 6am 57˚

Good afternoon, it is starting to feel a little less like spring and more like summer with temperatures in the middle to upper 80s this afternoon. Check out the latest run of the GFS model showing this afternoon’s temperatures and surface winds:

An upper level ridge is positioned over most of the eastern U.S. which is allowing high pressure  over the Gulf to send southwesterly winds and warmer temperatures into our area this afternoon. We will stay clear overnight with lows only dropping into the upper 50s.

Tue – Mostly Sunny – 87˚ / Tue Night – Clear – 58˚

Our friendly upper level ridge will stick around for most of the week which is good news. Weather over the next few days will be nearly identical to today’s weather with warm temperatures and mostly clear skies. It will be perfect day to spend outdoors, just don’t get too excited…

Wed – Mostly Sunny – 87˚ / Wed Night – Clear – 61˚

Wednesday will feature another day of splendid weather. All good things have to come to an end, and our perfect weather will eventually come to an end as a cold front will take aim at our area by Thursday night. This will ruin all of the fun as it will bring some rain chances into the weekend.

But for now, enjoy the next few days. Get outside, enjoy the outdoors because this is the warmest week we have seen in a long time. That’s all I’ve got for today. For more frequent updates be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWX on Twitter.
