Winds will shift out of the north at 15-25mph this afternoon, helping suppress temperatures to the lower 70s.  With any luck, a few rays of sunshine may filter in as the front heads out, creating a very nice end to the day.

Wed – Sunny & Puuurrfect – High 69˚ / Wed Night – Clear – Low 41˚

High pressure will settle in over the Great Lakes at midweek, supplementing an ideal forecast for just about any outdoor activity excluding extreme water sports.

Plenty of sunshine.  That’s about all that needs to be said.  Get out & enjoy it.

Thu – Sunny & Warmer – High 80˚ / Thu Night – Rain Likely – Low 57˚

High pressure will push off to our northeast as a cold front approaches from the northwest.  This feature will shift winds out of the southwest, which will send temps on a warming trend.

As the cold front closes in on Thursday night, widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms look like a good bet.  Severe weather does not look likely, however, strong storms can’t be ruled out.

The GFS precipitable water model below shows the parent low tracking northeast over the Great Lakes at 7pm Thursday evening.
