Saturday Update

Today – Mostly Sunny – High 79 / Tonight – Partly Cloudy, Isolated Showers – Low 58

7am 51 ~ 10am 73 ~ 1pm 77 ~ 4pm 79

Upper ridge should provide mostly sunny skies across south central Kentucky tonight.  As the day wears on, this ridge will transverse toward the east coast, allowing for a depleting cold front to approach from our west.  This could fire off a few isolated showers tonight.  Current surface model provided below:

Sun – Partly Sunny – High 79 / Sun Night – Clear – Low 52

7am 53 ~ 10am 72 ~ 1pm 76 ~ 4pm 78

Outside of isolated rain showers throughout the early morning hours of our Sunday, we’ll have another day with plenty of sunshine to enjoy.  Flow aloft looks to remain zonal, keeping things in a settled state.

Monday On – Mostly Sunny – High 75 / Mon Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 57

More of the same, gang. Partly to mostly sunny skies will be accompanied by seasonal temps in the lower – mid 70s. On Tuesday, southerly flow looks to pump moisture over our region, giving us our first significant chance at rainfall.

A stout cold front will cross the region Tuesday night – Wednesday, amping up our rain chances even more. Not overly impressed with the parameters as far as severe weather is concerned, however, sufficient available moisture will make heavy rain and flooding a concern.

That’s all for today, gang. I’ll be back tomorrow with another update. Have a great day and enjoy the start of your weekend!
