Friday Afternoon Update

imgg-1
Hands up…it’s HIGH FIVE FRIDAY!!

This Afternoon – Mostly Sunny – High 79 / Tonight – Clear – Low 52

7am 53 ~ 10am 65 ~ 1pm 74 ~ 4pm 79

Nothing to see here, gang…Upper ridge will continue to dominate, providing partly to mostly sunny skies across south central Kentucky.  Enjoy!  Attending high school football games tonight?  Take a jacket/fleece for good measure.  For those curious of what the current surface conditions look like, here you go…boring pattern continues:

Sat – Partly Sunny – High 80 / Sat Night – Mostly Cloudy, Iso’d Shower – Low 58

7am 54 ~ 10am 68 ~ 1pm 76 ~ 4pm 80

Nearly identical forecast slated for our Saturday as well, with our pattern finally altering Saturday night, as the ridge begins to break down.  Cloud cover will increase over south central Kentucky, with our next shot at rain arriving Saturday night.  Chances are nothing worth talking about, really, as moisture seems to be lacking.

Sun – Partly Sunny, Iso’d Showers & Storms / Sun Night – Clear – Low 53

Ridge will begin to build back over the area, however, we will still have to deal with an isolated shower or storm through the early morning.  Outside of that, partly to mostly sunny skies will accompany south central Kentucky.  The NAM HiRes model, valid 1am Sunday, paints bleak moisture returns approaching our proximity:

I’ll be back tomorrow with another look at the forecast for the work week.  Enjoy the remainder of your Friday, and cheers for the weekend!!
