Wednesday Afternoon Update

This Afternoon – Partly Sunny – High 75 / Tonight – Clear – Low 48

7am 46 ~ 10am 57 ~ 1pm 73 ~ 4pm 75

Upper Ridge has complete control across the eastern US, with a long-wave trough digging south out of the Pacific northwest, as forecast.  The ridge is displayed on the current 500mb model below.  This feature will keep plenty of sunshine in the forecast for the remainder of the work week:

Thur & Fri – Mostly Sunny – High 76 / Thur & Fri Night – Mostly Clear – Low 54

7am 49 ~ 10am 58 ~ 1pm 72 ~ 4pm 78

Quiet forecast period will progress onward, friends, with nearly identical conditions slated for both Thursday and Friday.  Upper ridge looks to maintain control until we get into the weekend, meaning peaceful conditions, along with comfortable temperatures in the mid – upper 70s.

Sat – Partly Sunny – High 78 / Sat Night – Mostly Cloudy – Low 58

No need to bore you with the same information.  Redundant forecast will be in store for our Saturday, with our pattern finally altering Saturday night, as the ridge begins to break down.  Cloud cover will increase over south central Kentucky, with our next shot at rain becoming visible on the horizon for Sunday.

I’ll be back tomorrow morning with a fresh analysis of the latest models.  Enjoy what’s left of your HuMp DaY!
