Welcome back to Monday, y’all! I hope you had a restful and enjoyable weekend. It got to be pretty rainy last night, with rainfall amounts totaling around 1″ or more for the WABBLES area! While today will be drier, wintery weather returns this week.
Clearing Skies Today and Tomorrow
Sunday was a pretty gloomy day to say the least, but things look to improve today. The low pressure system that brought the rain last night will move out during the morning hours.
This means we can expect the clouds to decrease over the day and welcome more sunshine in! Despite the warm sunshine, air temperatures will be much cooler today with highs only reaching the low 40’s. The first day of winter is only one week out, and it’s sure starting to feel that way!
A mostly clear sky will follow us into the overnight hours as temperatures drop into the icy mid 20’s. Temperatures stay on the cooler side even into Tuesday as highs only reach the mid 40’s.
Skies should remain on the clearer side, though, with a few clouds present as the next weathermaker brings more rain on Tuesday night.
Wintery Precip Possible Wednesday
As temperatures cool to near freezing on Wednesday morning, we could see any lingering rain showers transition to some snow flurries. Don’t worry, we won’t be seeing any accumulations, but some slick spots are possible.
After the morning precipitation moves out, we can expect the clouds to stick around into the afternoon hours, with highs ending up back in the low 40’s.
The rest of the week looks to be much quieter as sunny skies return, but those cooler temperatures will stick around!
That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy your Monday!
