Dry Start to the Weekend

Good Friday morning, WABBLES! We have had a wet last couple of days, but all of the showers and storms have pushed out of the region. It is smooth sailing for the next 48 hours or so as we look for a dry start to the weekend!

Right now, clear skies have overtaken the region and this is expected to continue through today. Temperatures will soar into the mid-80s this afternoon under mostly sunny skies across the region.

Heading into the weekend we will start dry along with seasonable temperatures. Highs in the mid-upper 80s return on Saturday along with mostly sunny skies. The next 2 days are looking like classic summer time across WABBLES!

Sunday

Heading into Sunday we will start to see rain chances move back into the region. The map below shows where their is energy in the atmosphere to spark showers and storms. Our next piece will be moving out of Mexico in then next few days and continue to push northward.

Isolated showers and storms will be possible come Sunday afternoon. A few heavy downpours will be possible because of the excessive amount of moisture that will be in the air.

Amounts: 0-0.10″ Isolated. 0.50″

Timing: 12pm-9pm

This piece of energy or weak area of low pressure will continue to push northward as we head into next week. An abundance amount of moisture will start to stream northward from the Gulf of Mexico come Monday. Showers and thunderstorms chances will become widespread and daily occurrence into next week.

Next Week

Moisture and multiple pieces of energy will sparks showers and storms into next week.

The CPC shows that their is a 40% chance that we see above normal precipitation next week. This summer time pattern is not uncommon for WABBLES and more dry time than not is likely. The question will be how long will this pattern last across the area.
