Happy Monday, South-Central Kentucky! I hope you had a relaxing weekend! It’s time to start the new week. Spring started on a very nice note, but showers are scattered throughout the forecast this week.
One More Day of Sunny Weather
Before we get to the wet weather later this week, we can expect one more sunny day to kick off the week! Monday will look a lot like what this weekend did with mostly sunny skies and plenty of warm sunshine!
We’re officially at that time of the year when mornings are cool, but the afternoon is pretty warm! Temps this morning are hanging out in the low 40’s, but highs are expected to reach about 70°!
As we go through the evening and overnight hours, clouds are expected to become more numerous. Lows are also looking to drop into the low 50’s.
First Round of Showers Tuesday
Tuesday we can expect to see the first round of showers for the week move through. Right now showers look be scattered in nature and stick mostly to the afternoon hours. The rest of the day looks to be cloudy and pretty windy with highs in the mid 60’s.
Winds are forecasted to be as strong as 11 – 15 mph, but gusts could be stronger near 30 mph! Make sure to secure any loose items you may have outside. Shower chances linger into the overnight hours as well.
Wednesday, however, we catch a break between storms. Clouds will be on the decrease and we will get an opportunity to see a little sunshine! Highs also rebound all the way into the low 70’s!
Second Round of Showers Thursday
The second round of wet weather is coming on Thursday, and this time it’s looking to be more widespread. A thunderstorm or two is also possible, but more details on this round will be available as we get closer to time! Just expect some rain!
