Dry Weekend Ahead

Good Friday morning, folks! It is another great start to the morning with calm weather across the region. We expect this trend to continue with a dry weekend ahead. Now lets take a look at that forecast!

Today

We have a storm system out west that will filter some high level clouds in this afternoon. The good news is that all precipitation will stay out of the area. This low pressure is diving quickly to the southwest.

Dry weather will continue through the today and into the weekend. Here is a look at future radar through early Saturday morning.

Temperatures won’t be as warm as we were yesterday with highs only reaching the low 50s. Mostly sunny skies will continue through the afternoon. Temperatures will drop below freezing tonight as we dip into the upper 20s.

Weekend Outlook

Heading into our Saturday, the storms system has stayed well to our south and high pressure has moved back into the region. Temperatures will be about where they were today for highs into the low 50s.

We will be a bit breezy on Saturday, but nothing over the top. A few wind gusts up to 15-20mph will be possible. Mostly sunny skies are expected through out our Saturday.

Sunday

We do the same song and dance heading into Sunday. Dry conditions and temperatures in the mid-50s are expected. It may be a bit cool, but with the sunshine it is going to be a great weekend to be outside. Here is look at afternoon highs on Sunday.

Temperatures will start near freezing Sunday morning but temperatures do rebound like shown above. Also, those winds will not be as breezy as they were Saturday.

Next Week

Looking ahead farther out, we look to stay dry through at least the early part of next week. Temperatures are looking much warmer with highs in the upper 60s if not close to 70 next week. Although, when we get warm in the winter time it usually means active weather on the way.

The jet stream will become active across the Central U.S. which means the potential will increase for more rain and storms. Long story short, it looks like our dry stretch will come to an end by the middle of next week. Enjoy the dry and calm conditions while they are here!
