Good morning, everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start so far despite the frigid air we’ve air we have been enduring. While that frigid air won’t go away quite yet, an area of high pressure keeps us dry, at least for now!
The Sun will Finally Make an Appearance
Today, we will finally see more clouds than sun. The system that brought our snowfall a couple of nights ago was slow to move out keeping those grey, winter-like clouds around. However, it has actually moved out of the region which will reveal partly sunny conditions thanks to a high pressure moving into the region.
Despite the sun though, you’ll definitely still want a coat heading out to work this morning as the high temperature is only expected 37 degrees. Paired with winds around 12mph, the air temperature will likely even feel cooler than this.
Overnight, expect a few more clouds to roll in making conditions mostly cloudy. The low will drop to very chilly territory and be around 25 degrees.
More Sun for Wednesday, Rain Returns Thursday
Wednesday’s forecast is much like today’s. Although, it will be a tad warmer with a high in the low 40s and the winds will have died down a bit. Wednesday night is where things begin to change a little bit with the presence of increasing clouds.
Rain showers return to the region Thursday afternoon. Winds will really pick up with this system with gusts in the mid 20s. The temperature will be around 52 so all precipitation should remain as rain until overnight where falling temperatures could result in snow flakes.
However, we aren’t expecting any impacts due to the likelihood of the road temperatures being so warm due to the high temperature. Sorry, snow lovers!
That’s all for today! Thanks for reading and be sure to follow our live weather feeds on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, @wxornotBG. Have a great rest of the week!
