Another Hot Day

As is typical this time of the year, temperatures will climb into the upper 80s with a few places reaching upwards of 90 degrees. Dew points will be relatively high, making things quite soupy out there!

Scattered Summertime Storms

As per usual this time of year, the heat and humidity, coupled with the afternoon daytime heating will lead to pop-up showers and storms this afternoon. Coverage will not be widespread, but any one of these storms will be capable of producing torrential rainfall, small hail, and some isolated damaging wind gusts. Because of this, the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has placed a “Marginal Risk” across the entirety of the Commonwealth today.

A Hot Weekend Ahead

Over the remainder of the workweek we can expect more of the same. Hot and humid conditions will continue both on Friday, and into the weekend. Temperatures Saturday and Sunday will be in the low 90s area-wide, so please take any necessary precautions if you are outdoors. Remember to stay hydrated! Pop-up afternoon thunderstorms will be possible in on Saturday, but will give way to a clearer, drier Sunday.
