Wet End to the Week Underway

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to Thursday. We’re almost to the weekend, but it’s going to be a wet one. With the rain that moved in last night, a wet end to the week is underway.

With quarantine and everything, today will be a great napping day. (Giphy)

Showers Could Become Storms Today

We had our big rainmaker move in last night which is leaving some leftover showers this morning. We could see a short break near the mid-morning hours before round two moves in. This time we could see a few rumbles of thunder with a chance of some going severe.

Showers this morning could become a few heavier storms this afternoon. We’ll be watching as the day goes on! (Pivotal Weather)

It’s also going to get a little windy today as well. As the low pressure passes over, winds could blow upwards of around 15 mph with some gusts being higher. Secure any loose outdoor items now!

Highs today will linger in the cool mid 60’s as the storm systems moves out. Any remaining showers should be gone by nightfall. Lows will end up in the chilly low 50’s.

Dry Friday, but Rain Returns Saturday

The dry weather continues into the day on Friday as we catch a break from the wet weather. We’ll see some breaks of sunshine throughout the day under partly to mostly cloudy skies as our temperatures warm to around 70°.

The wind will die down as well, which will settle things down some. Sounds like a quiet spring day! As we head into the overnight hours the next round of rain will approach from the west and arrive in the morning hours on Saturday.

Again, it shouldn’t be anything too heavy or severe. Just some good ole spring rain. It won’t be around long, however, as it will move off to the northwest by the late afternoon/evening hours.

Temperatures on Saturday will cool back off a little thanks to the wet weather with highs in the mid 60’s, which is little below average for mid-April.

Dry Again for the New Week

As we start the new week, things should begin to dry out again. The sun will reappear and make for some pleasant spring days. We stay cooler than average, however, with highs sitting around the mid 60’s.

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Stay dry!
