Rain Moves In Today

We will start our Thursday dry, but it won’t be long before we start seeing some precipitation fall. Models are agreeing and say the rain will move in around noon. Highs today look to climb into the mid 40’s.

The rain won’t be very heavy today, but heavier rainfall amounts could come during the overnight hours. Totals look to end up just under an inch by Friday morning. Lows overnight will cool to about 40°.

Scattered Showers Friday

The main event moves out Friday morning, but the low pressure system stays close. Therefore, we could see some wrap-around precipitation bring some showers Friday afternoon. Otherwise, Friday will remain cloudy.

Temperatures stay cool thanks to the overcast conditions. Highs on Friday will end up in the mid 40’s again before cooling into the mid 30’s Friday night.

Dry Conditions Return

This weekend may start off wet, but it’ll end dry. The low pressure moves off to the northeast and is replaced by a high pressure on Saturday. Despite the high pressure, Saturday looks to remain cloudy and cool, with highs in the low 40’s. A pretty typical January day!

As that high pressure begins to dominate more of the area, the skies will start to clear as well. We look to stay dry as we enter into the new week and get a few days of sunshine. We will also go back to seeing above average temperatures for the foreseeable future, meaning we will stay pretty mild for late January.

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy the end of your week!
