Starting off the Week Wet

Hello and good morning! Hope you all had a great weekend. We will be starting off the week wet, then clear conditions to follow.

Currently…

Temperatures are starting off in the mid-40s with wet road conditions for your morning commute. The sky will also be covered with thick clouds.

Soggy Start

Our Monday is going to be soggy but not quite as cold as it has been over the weekend. Winds will be coming from the south at around 8 mph which will allow temperatures to rise into the high-50s. Winds are expected to gust in the afternoon.

Along with the wind will come rain chances, as well. Have that rain coat handy, as rain is expected all day. Temperatures will stay in the 50s overnight as the winds continue to come from the south.

Continued Rain and Some Fog on Tuesday

Tomorrow will be rainy…

The grounds are going to be soggy and the roads will be wet. Something new about Tuesday is the increased chance for fog in the morning. The dew point temperature and air temperature will be nearly the same value, that the air will become extremely saturated. This results in the production of tiny water droplets, which we call Fog.

The temperatures will increase into the high-50s and decrease into the mid-30s by midnight. A cold front will be making its way into the area, which will shift the winds to come from the west. As this cold front moves through, the winds will be gusty (~40 mph) and at high speeds (17-20 mph) throughout the day. Of course, rain chances will remain to top off the forecast.

Based on the figure above, Tuesday morning will start off warm as we will be in the warm sector of the Low-Pressure system. On the west side of the Low, cold temperatures are following and will take over the warm temperatures in our area later on Tuesday.

Things Clearing Up on Wednesday

High pressure will be taking over, which will result in the clouds clearing up and… yes… the RAIN!

Our grounds will finally get a chance to dry up. Temperatures will be in the high-40s and will decrease into the 30s for the night. Winds will also shift to the south once again, which will allow warmer and moist air to move into the area.

Enjoy this clear weather while you can this Wednesday, rain chances will return.

A Rainy Valentine’s Day

Thursday will start out dry and warm, however, rain is expected right around noon. Temperatures will be in the high-50s and it’ll be a tad windy. While rain is expect for the evening of Valentine’s Day, temperatures will be on the warmer side. The sky will become increasingly cloudy throughout the day, as well.

Showers on Friday and Clear Weekend Ahead

Friday will consist of showers with temperatures in the 50s. The weekend will take a cold but clear turn as temperatures will range from the low-20s to high-30s.  Although we are starting the week off wet, clear conditions are ahead. Make sure to have that rain jacket handy and wear your rain boots for today and tomorrow, the ground will be soggy.
