The Sun Returns for the Weekend

Good Friday morning everyone! I hope we’re all doing well and have had fantastic weeks. I am excited for the weekend, and hope you are too. The good news is that the sun returns for the weekend!

What is that? Is it the Sun?

Yes, it is the sun! Can you believe it? It has felt like forever since it has made an appearance, but there it is.

We are looking at plentiful sunshine today. Even more, it will feel like fall. You’ll like need a light jacket heading out to work or the bus stop this morning, as temps are in the lower 50s.

With as much rain as we have had lately, patchy dense fog is expected to pose a threat to travel this morning, so also keep that in mind as you head to work and school. It is expected to dissipate by mid-morning!

This afternoon, a dry, secondary front will approach from the northwest, and will bring with it an even nicer shot of cool air for Saturday.

Highs ahead of this should get into the mid 70s (74ºF-75ºF) this afternoon, creating amazing conditions to spend some time outdoors.

Behind the weak front, a nice, Autumn-like high pressure system will settle into the lower Ohio Valley. This will create warm, dry, and sunny conditions.

Overall, this is really shaping up to be an incredible weekend weather wise. Be sure to enjoy it!

Warmer Sunday

As this high pressure system quickly traverses the region, it will begin to move to our east and northeast by Sunday afternoon. As this happens, out winds will shift out of the south and southwest.

This will help to bring warmer air into the region, unfortunately. However, despite this, it won’t be too bad! Highs Sunday afternoon are only expected to get into low and mid 80s (82ºF-84ºF).

Dewpoints will remain low, so it’ll feel nice out at least! Expect the warming trend to continue through at least midweek next week, as we get into strong southwesterly flow and underneath a strong ridge of high pressure.

By mid weeks, highs should be approaching the mid and upper 80s again. But until then, enjoy the wonderful weather we expect this weekend!
