Hey folks, crank the AC up today since highs will reach the low 90’s with a couple isolated thundershowers as a hot, humid pattern returns to south central Kentucky. The heat stays while rain chances increase through at least the middle of next week.
Heat and Humidity on the Rise
Light southern winds will bring in hotter temperatures and more moisture. Together these will make it feel like at least the mid 90’s and give us a slight chance of pop-up thunderstorms this afternoon.
Rain Chances Increase Tomorrow into Next Week
Tomorrow afternoon scattered showers will be possible again while highs reach the upper 80’s making it feel even muggier than today. By Monday the temperatures will remain the same while thunderstorms become more likely and widespread.
The middle of next week will probably continue this hot, rainy pattern with projected highs reaching the mid-80’s each day with scattered thunderstorms. Our best chance for severe storms will be in the Tuesday-Wednesday time frame, but this is for sure not set in stone yet.
Late Week “Cold” Front Could Bring Nicer Weather
All the unsettled weather is due to slow moving “cold” front that will creep across our the eastern U.S. this week. Maybe once the cold front gets past us late next week we can get some dry, cooler temperatures again.
