Return to Average Summer Heat Today
After a few day’s reprieve from summer heat, our high temperatures will once again approach 90 today with little chance of rain.
The good news is that humidity will stay relatively low making the heat bearable. Clouds will build in overnight as a front approaches.
Weak Cold Front Brings Chance of Showers Tomorrow
Isolated showers maybe with a clap or two of thunder will be possible early tomorrow morning into the afternoon with the passage of a cold front. Highs will only reach the lower 80’s with lower humidity.
Any showers that form will clear out by tomorrow evening which will only be the beginning of an awesome weekend.
Really Nice Weekend Ahead
Once again under a high pressure system, Saturday will start out in the low 60’s, feature dry conditions, and a have an afternoon high in the low 80’s. In summary, Saturday is the best weather you could want for Kentucky in late July, so try to get outside and enjoy it.
Come Sunday, some isolated thundershowers are possible with highs in the mid 80’s which will still be several degrees below average.
Trough Could Bring Storms Early Next Week
Models are hinting that a large trough could form over the eastern U.S. early next week increasing chances for heavy rain and maybe even severe storms by Tuesday or Wednesday. A lot is likely to change before then, so enjoy the nice weather this weekend, and follow @wxornotbg for the latest updates.
