Hey folks, the atmosphere will remain juicy enough with moisture today for some afternoon thunderstorms to form which are not expected to be severe. High temperatures will trend uncomfortably upward through Saturday providing us isolated t’storms today followed by a hot, humid weekend.
Showers Last Night
Rain that fell overnight in our northern and eastern counties has cleared up, but watch for some wet pavement and patchy fog. So far no flooding or severe has been reported, but I hope your car windows were rolled up last night.
Broken clouds should remain in place today to keep our temperatures down a little but humidity up. Highs will reach the upper 80’s, but it could still feel like 100 later this afternoon where isolated thunderstorms do not pop up.
Hot, Humid Weekend Approaching
Friday and Saturday look to stay hot and sticky with highs in the mid-90’s. Rain is not expected as a high pressure strengthens over us.
Humidity values will make it feel like well over 100 in the afternoons which means you should take precautions to prevent heat stroke and exhaustion. Refer to the following gif guide on how to do this.
Rain Chances Return Sunday
By Sunday we will be on the edge of the big area of high pressure leading to better chances of rain showers and possibly thunderstorms into the start of next week. Highs will continue to approach 90 while being uncomfortably humid.
That’s all I have for today. Follow @wxornotbg for the latest updates.
