Cold Thanksgiving; Warm After That

Cold air has arrived, will hang around through Thanksgiving.

Cold is Here…Already.

The cold front pushed through the region last night and the cold has settled into the region. Temperatures are currently around 31° and we’re only forecasting a high of 44°, despite mostly sunny skies. Combine that with northerly wind and it’s going to feel even cooler.

Temperatures will fall back to around 27° overnight tonight. Don’t set the turkey outside to thaw!

High pressure will remain in place on Thanksgiving Day. This will lead to chilly, but fair conditions across the region. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 40s under partly cloudy skies. At least the forecast is dry?

Lows will drop to around the freezing mark as some “warmth” begins to move back into the region.

Black Friday Better Spent Outdoors

Southerly flow will increase ahead of yet another cold front on Black Friday. This will lead to temperatures warming into the mid 50s under partly cloudy skies. Thus, I’m of the opinion that Black Friday can be better spent outdoors rather than shopping with the masses, but to each their own!

The cold front will move through the region late Friday night and into Saturday morning, thus lows will actually be on the mild side across the region. Lows should drop to around 40°.

The cold front won’t actually have that much of an effect on temperatures on Saturday. Temperatures should warm into the mid to upper 50s despite northerly surface flow. We’ll take it!

Boring Weather Pattern Continues into Next Week

The weather will remain dry for quite some time across the region. Models are in good agreement that our next shot of rain arrives on Tuesday night and into Wednesday as a cold front approaches the region. Ahead of that? Warm and dry conditions to begin the week!
