wxornotBG 11/1/17: Widespread rain joins a warming trend today, with similar conditions in store for the remainder of the week.

Today – Rainy – High 62° / Tonight – Isolated Showers & Windy – Low 59°

Broad southwest flow will lead to warm air and moisture advection into the region. This will lead to a soggy day throughout much of the day. A few breaks in the rain may arrive late this afternoon, but a rainy day is on tap with temperatures climbing to around 62°.

Strong southerly winds will develop overnight. Isolated showers will remain possible as southerly winds between 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph, keep temperatures mild. Lows will only drop a few degrees and may actually warm in some locations!

Thursday – Mostly Cloudy – High 72° / Thur Night – Showers & Storms – Low 66°

Mostly cloudy skies will move in place on Thursday. Patchy drizzle may be possible throughout the day. However, temperatures will be nice and top out around 72°. Southerly winds will remain cranking at around 10 – 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Showers and storms will develop ahead and along a cold front to the northwest of the region. These showers and storms will move into the region late overnight and into Friday morning. No severe weather is expected at this time. Lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Friday – Showers Likely – High 70° / Fri Night – Mostly Cloudy – Low 58°

Showers and storms will be likely to begin Friday as the front pushes through the region. Temperatures may warm to around 70° before the cold front moves through. Mostly cloudy skies will be left in the wake of the front. Between 0.5 and 1″ of rain is expected by Saturday AM.

Mostly cloudy skies with patchy drizzle will remain in place overnight. Lows will drop into the upper 50s.
