Stormy Father’s Day Forecast

Father’s Day – Scattered Showers and Storms – High 85° / Tonight – Showers Likely – Low 69°

A few thunderstorms are already making their way into the region this morning. Expect storms to become more widespread around the noon and afternoon hours as upper level support begins to move into the region. Highs will top out into the mid 80s. A few storms may be strong to severe with damaging wind being the main threat. The Storm Prediction Center has placed our region in a “slight” risk of severe weather. Think of this as a level 2 out of 5 risk.

Showers and storms will likely continue overnight as lows drop to just below 70°.

Monday – Isolated Storms Possible – High 80° / Mon Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 63°

Showers and storms will linger into the morning hours before departing shortly after the noon hour. With abundant cloud cover, highs will struggle to reach 80°. Assuming it’s dry, a pleasant afternoon may be in store!

Rain and clouds should thin some to just partly cloudy skies overnight. Lows will drop into the low 60s overnight.

Tuesday – Mostly Sunny – High 83° / Tues Night – Mostly Clear – Low 63°

The base of the trough will be to the east of the region on Tuesday, meaning high pressure should begin to move into the region. This will bring fair conditions to the area. Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the lower 80s!

Mostly clear skies should continue overnight as lows settle into the low 60s once again.
