ITS THE WEEKEND!
I’m pretty hype that it is Saturday, but I’m surely not as hype as Mississippi State fans. In case you didn’t see, the Mississippi State Woman’s Basketball team beat UConn, who had won 111 games in a row.
It happened. It really happened.

It was pretty epic. I’m a fan of neither team, but it was awesome to see that happen. But now back to your regularly scheduled weather forecast! The reason I start this off like that is because this forecast is pretty boring. As in, extremely boring. Which, I mean, I would much rather have that than have a difficult forecast every day or two. It just gets tiring.
A ridge will really dominate the region today and tomorrow. This will lead to pretty calm and relaxed conditions across the region, as we’ll see some sunshine both days, but both days will have some significant cloud cover, as well.
Today’s is this morning. Hi-res models have shown the clouds this morning breaking up around the noon hour, and sunshine remaining for the rest of the afternoon. Highs should respond up into the low to mid 60s.
Tomorrow’s forecast is pretty simple too. The ridge will be progressing eastward into the Mid Atlantic states as a trough approaches from the west and southwest. Sunshine will dominate into the afternoon, allowing for highs to rise into the lower 70s.
However, clouds increase as the trough approached by Sunday evening. Rainfall will spread across the region by early Monday morning, and should last intermittently throughout the day on Monday.
This will keep temps down, considering the clouds and rainfall throughout the day. The rain will be nice, especially considering we haven’t had a ton of it recently. But after that moves out, it looks to leave cooler weather for Tuesday.
