Bowling Green Weather Headed for a Wet Start to 2017

Real-time Bowling Green Weather Radar

Yesterday’s Weather

Yesterday was not only a pretty routine day for Bowling Green Weather but for the state of Kentucky as a whole. Most of the state was within a stones throw of 50ºF and was dry for most of the day but windy. The wind made otherwise nice temperatures almost bone-chilling. Some rain/snow/graupel squalls crossed the state in the evening but stayed for the most part north of our area.

Forecast Discussion

For such a bright and exciting time of year, Bowling Green Weather sure looks dull. Kind of seems fitting to end 2016 on a boring note, doesn’t it?

Anyway, the last weekday of 2016 doesn’t look too terrible. Today will look a lot like yesterday, with mostly sunny skies, windy conditions and average to slightly-above average temps. That wind is helping move the next chance of rain our way and it looks to arrive…just in time for New Year’s. Great. Thanks Ma Nature.

Clouds will slowly increase throughout the night as the system arrives to start off your New Year’s Eve.

That’s gonna make your New Year’s Eve kinda dull. I mean, there’s nothing more I can say. It’s gonna rain on and off for most of the day but the models seem to indicate that most of the rain will move out by midnight for any of your own NYE celebrations.

For 2017’s opener itself… the scattered shower threat is still gonna be there. The chances and quantity are going to be slightly less than tomorrow but the chance is there nonetheless.

This disturbance gives us a chance at a little bit of rain, mostly during the morning but there’s a chance a few could last into the early afternoon. Hopefully, this dull start is not a sign of things to come in 2017.
