Real-time Bowling Green Weather Radar
Yesterday’s Weather
Bowling Green’s weather yesterday was downright miserable, that’s if you’re not a fan Old Man Winter like myself. Temperatures only made into the upper 30s which was actually in the early morning hours, so temperatures for much of yesterday were falling steadily. If you were out and about, you likely had to de-ice your vehicle because it probably looked like Elsa had given it a nice solid coating of ice.

Forecast Discussion
This week’s forecast discussion is still remaining fairly simple and straight forward: slight warming trend to more seasonable high and low temperatures for Bowling Green.
Much of the central and eastern US is being dominated by this ridge of high pressure, which isn’t allowing much in any changes to our weather pattern. Were going to be stuck in this zonal flow for what looks like much of the week, which will gradually raise temperatures to right around average by Wednesday. But by this weekend, there seem to be some changes that will come into play on or around the big day.
As for today, we’ll see cold temperatures and scattered flurries with breaks in cloud cover for much of the day. That trend will continue into tomorrow and Wednesday, where temperatures will steadily rise as we see more sunshine across Bowling Green. Overall, it’s looking to be a rather pleasant week!
As for this weekend’s holiday plans, the models are still in a bit of disagreement about the timing of what they want Mother Nature to do. The weekend overall looks to be milder with southerly flow, but the models can’t seem to come to a consensus about the day the event will take place. We are still just under a week out from the event so we will definitely be ironing out the details, but it is looking to be a rain event for much of the region. The likelihood of a white Christmas is slim to none at this point… But the potential for this weekend to get messy is there, we will keep you posted here at WxOrNotBG on any updates in the holiday weekend forecast to come!
