Bowling Green Weather Lookin’ Boring!

Real-time Bowling Green Weather

Yesterday’s Weather

Yesterday…was actually pretty nice! It was really warm, but with dewpoints in the upper 50s and lower 60s? Holy cow it felt good! I was off by one degree, but that isn’t too terrible, so that is nice!

Discussion

Well, the forecast continues to look boring. Like, watching paint dry boring.

Beauty is not in this forecast, Bob Ross. Also: that paint is drying. And its more interesting than this forecast. h/t giphy.com

Don’t you just love it!? The forecast is basically a consistency forecast, as the models haven’t really changed much of anything looking through this timespan. Like I discussed yesterday,  there is a large scale ridge across the eastern and southern US, that was producing the warm temperatures that we are seeing.

Look at that ridge! It should weaken over the next day or so, but still remain. h/t pivotalweather.com

This ridge continues to look to dominate our weather this week; however, it should weaken throughout the timespan this week. In the lower levels of the atmosphere and towards the surface, northeasterly flow around a weak trough to our east (aka former Tropical Storm Julia) pushed drier, less humid air into the region, which has kept dewpoints lower.

That doesn’t look to continue occurring through the timespan, as dewpoints should begin to creep up into the mid and upper 60s by Friday. Overall, the pattern isn’t too terribly different from yesterday, yielding a similar forecast.

Anticipate highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s during the day, with partly cloudy skies. Overnight, look for lows in the mid 60s, and mostly clear skies. This is just like a regular piece of bread. It is just sitting there, and is just completely boring.

Extended Outlook

Well, things are starting to look a bit complex in the long term. Just a bit. The two main long range models are trying to hone in on a significant trough digging into either the central or eastern US next week. There is a lot of uncertainty involved with this, so we need to figure all of that out. However, if this were to happen, I would be excited.
