Forecast Discussion

I’ve been with WxOrNotBG since it first launched in 2014, this is by far the most boring forecast I’ve ever been a part of. It’s literally the same thing for the next three days with higher temperatures each day. When I looked at the forecast models, my brain imploded a little bit from the absence of synoptic variability.

My reaction to the forecast this morning.

Alas, the show must go on. Basically, the set up the entire week is a very large ridge encompassing the entire eastern United States. One Tuesday, this ridge even strengthens, leading to slightly hotter temperatures, as well as nearly zero chances of rain…I suppose there’s always a chance.

As mentioned previously, from there, things don’t change at all in the weather department. Each day brings slightly hotter temperatures with partly cloudy skies. It looks like our next chance of rain will be around Thursday though as that ridge finally starts to break down some.

Extended Outlook

According to the Climate Prediction Center, there is a slight chance that above normal temperatures will occur, as well as above normal precipitation in the next 6-10 days. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for fall to get here and stay a while.

That should wrap up this forecast. Be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WKUweather for the latest Bowling Green weather information. Have a great Labor Day!
