Fairly Nice Bowling Green Weather Upcoming

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar

Yesterday’s Weather

Well, from the little that I saw at stops on my way back from vacation yesterday, Bowling Green Weather was insane again. The second day in a row with a nice shelf cloud, but of greater note, even more rainfall for the region.

Discussion

I am back, and I am happy to be back forecasting!

I am sad to leave the beach, but I have missed Kentucky and the storms that occurred while I was gone. Luckily, I get to ease back into this with a relatively easy forecast!

I am hype about that. Yesterday’s (and Friday’s, too) weather was crazy, and I will have a WxRecap post up about that this evening. However, the front that was the main forcing mechanism behind all of that has pushed south of our region, leaving us with northerly to northeasterly winds and a muuuuuch nicer air mass on the way.

Look for skies to stay mostly clear to partly cloudy throughout the day, with a break from the storms and rain in general! Highs will end up in the mid to upper 80s, with nicer dewpoints filtering in by this afternoon and evening. Overnight tonight, look for skies to stay clear, with lows in the upper 60s.

Tomorrow looks just as nice as today, but it is Monday, so that is a bummer.

However, the weather outside will be about as good as it has been in quite sometime. The northerly flow established across the region today will remain tomorrow, and looks to usher in even lower dewpoints across the region.

This will yield awesome conditions by tomorrow evening. With highs hitting the upper 80s, but low 60s for dewpoints? The afternoon and evening tomorrow is about to be nice.

Celebrate by cooking out or something similar to try to make Monday a bit better than it usually is. Overnight, skies will remain mostly clear, with lows falling into the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Tuesday looks a bit more interesting, but overall, I don’t see it being too bad.

There is some disagreement on precip chances on Tuesday among the models. However, I don’t see any real large scale signals towards precipitation being widespread. At the most, I think that isolated storms will be possible.

This chance is in response to moisture returning across the region in relative associated with a closed, lower level low pressure system across the Gulf Coast. At the least, this will make the weather more miserable, as temperatures rise into the lower 90s by the afternoon.

Overnight, look for skies to remain partly to mostly cloudy, with lows falling into the mid 70s.

Extended Outlook

From Wednesday through Friday, it appears as if weak ridging is going to establish itself over the region, with scattered storms likely being a daily threat. Anticipate highs in the 90s, with higher humidity. Within the 6-10 day timeframe, the CPC has above average temps and above average precipitation.
