The next few days are looking absolutely incredible. Just incredible. I mean, you’ll walk outside and it will essentially be as if you’re walking into the most ideal weather conditions ever.

Lets get into this discussion! A weak cold front passed through yesterday, but more importantly, a shortwave trough moved through and began to establish synoptic troughing across the eastern US.

In association with this is an amazing Canadian surface high pressure system moving southeastward towards us. You normally hear us mention the infamous “Canadian High” in the winter time, but it is coming to a town near you! This will bring with it much cooler and drier air with it (Hint: dewpoints will be lowering).

After the fog burns off this morning, skies will become mostly sunny to partly cloudy, with highs rising into the mid 80s. Overnight, look for skies to clear again, with lows falling into the mid 60s.

The troughing looks to be really established tomorrow as we likely see the best day of the entire summer.

I mean… I don’t know how we’ll get a better day than the one we’re looking at for tomorrow. It is gonna be NICE out. With the surface high establishing northerly flow across the region, both temperatures and dewpoints will be held to lower values. This will yield an incredible feeling atmosphere. I honestly just wanna throw a party for it, because anytime we have upper 70s forecasted in the summer, that deserves a celebration.

Again, low dewpoints will keep this feeling awesome. Look for overnight conditions to be mostly clear, with lows in the lower 60s.

Thursday looks incredible as well!

I think we won the weather lottery with how great the next few days are looking. I can’t even describe how excited I am for it. I get excited easily, though. Thursday looks much like its two predecessors, with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies dominating the sky, with highs only in the lower 80s. Combine that with low dewpoints?

I mean, it is the perfect recipe. It is even better than the best Grilled Cheese recipe out there, and I love Grilled Cheese, so that is saying something. Overnight, look for amazing conditions to continue, as partly cloudy skies will dominate, with lows falling into the mid 60s.

Extended Outlook

With continued eastern US troughing, it does appear as we have a fairly active pattern ahead, especially heading into this weekend. Within this westerly to northwesterly flow, we will likely see several shortwave troughs propagate towards us and force showers and thunderstorms.

If I was to make a 4th of July forecast right now, I would call for scattered storms, which is a bummer. However, plenty of time to work on that forecast!

Well, I am off to fish for the morning! Be sure to keep up with the blog this afternoon, because I will have some quality posts coming your way. Have a good one folks, and be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG for the latest on this incredible weather.
