Fairly Nice Bowling Green Weather Incoming

Real-time Bowling Green Weather Radar

Yesterday’s weather

Hahahaha. Where do I even begin with yesterday’s weather!? I mean, it was just awesome. That is all I can say. I wrote a WxRecap post about yesterday’s weather last night, and detailed the awesome lightning.

Outside of that, not much else happened yesterday. It got really warm outside, as highs got into the mid 90s. It was also very, very humid. Actually, outside of those storms, being outside yesterday was miserable.

Discussion

The weather is looking a lot calmer over the next few days, and even as much as I dislike boring weather, I am excited for a bit more of a relaxed pattern.

Today will see the further southward pushing of a surface high pressure system behind a cold front that passed through the region, and this will definitely allow for skies to stay predominantly clear across the region.

Highs look to be a tad cooler, with most of us seeing highs in the upper 80s. Overnight tonight, look for lows to fall into the upper 60s under mostly clear skies.

Tomorrow, it is looking to warm up a bit. The high pressure at the surface looks like it is going to shift off to the northeast, and will allow for winds to shift a bit to the southeasterly and southerly.

Nothing much really looks to go on across the region, as we’ll still be predominantly underneath the influence of the high pressure system. Highs will end up in the lower 90s across the region.

Overnight, look for partly cloudy skies and lows in the mid 70s.

Sunday looks a bit more interesting, but even still, not much should go on. It will be a lot warmer.

A frontal boundary will be slowly moving towards us from the west, and weak southwesterly flow looks to develop at the surface. This will lead to highs in the mid 90s across the region, with isolated storms possible in the afternoon.

Extended Outlook

In the extended outlook, it is beginning to look like the beginning portion of July is gonna be a bit cooler than average across the region.

The GFS and ECMWF over the next week are in fairly good agreement in the idea of developing a troughing pattern over the eastern US. Several other signals are pointing to this idea as well, so we will keep watching it and will keep you updated on this!
