Howdy, Bowling Green! I trust y’all are having a wonderful day so far. I can’t necessarily say the same thing about the weather, though.

We’re going to start off the day cloudy and then gradually move into mostly sunny skies by the afternoon. Due to atmospheric heating during the day, I expect to see some scattered, yet strong showers with maybe even a few rumbles of thunder, as well. These showers, however, should remain short-lived with very sparse coverage across the state.

Temperatures for today will be rather warm with highs in the mid-to-upper 80’s and lows in the upper 60’s.

Friday – Partly Sunny – High 88˚ / Friday Night – Slight Chance T-Storms – Low 68˚

Friday looks to be very similar to Thursday with partly sunny skies in the morning hours and then a chance of scattered showers in the afternoon. Our area will be in between surface high pressure to the east and low pressure to the north/northwest. Because of this, along with southwesterly flow and atmospheric heating, we will likely see some thunderstorms today and over the next few days.

Again, highs for Friday will be in the mid-to-upper 80’s with lows during the evening hours in the upper 60’s.

Saturday – Chance T-Storms – High 84˚ / Saturday Night – Slight Chance T-Storms – Low 65˚

I’m sorry everybody, but we just can’t seem to get away from this rainy, stormy weather! A negatively tilted trough is inching its way closer to our area, and winds have shifted to a more southerly direction. All of this combined with diurnal heating will allow for slight chances for showers and storms. Again, these storms might be strong, but they will also be short-lived and scattered.

Highs for Saturday will be in the mid 80’s, and lows will be in the mid 60’s.
