Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:
Today 5/16 – Mostly Cloudy; Isolated Showers – High 65° / Tonight – Scattered Showers – Low 53°
Good Monday morning! Chilly temperatures will continue this morning under mostly cloudy skies. A ridging pattern will set up for a brief time during the day ahead of the next shortwave trough. However, I don’t think we’ll be able to shake the clouds away. Isolated showers will also be possible throughout the day. Highs will be around 65°.
A shortwave trough will begin to approach the region during the overnight hours. A few scattered showers will likely develop ahead of this shortwave as divergence occurs aloft. Lows will be around 53°.
Tuesday 5/17 – Scattered Showers – High 63° / Tues Night – Scattered Showers Ending – Low 52°
The shortwave will continue into the region on Tuesday. Scattered showers will continue throughout the day. This will limit instability, keeping thunderstorms less of a concern. A warm front will move through during the afternoon hours. However, this will have little impact on temperatures due to the scattered showers. Highs will be around 63°.
Scattered showers will eventually end as the shortwave moves out of the region on Tuesday night. Lows will be around 52°.
Wednesday 5/18 – Partly Cloudy – High 67° / Wed Night – Mostly Clear – Low 50°
High pressure will move into the region after the shortwave passes. This will leave us with a rather nice day! Partly cloudy skies should diminish in the afternoon to mostly clear skies. Highs will also recover into the mid to upper 60s.
Wednesday night will bring mostly clear skies to the region with a low around 50°.
That should wrap up this forecast. Be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG for the latest Bowling Green weather information. Have a great day!
