Forecast Calls For More Boredom

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high around 88ºF. Tonight: Mostly clear, with lows falling to around 69ºF.

Well, I haven’t seen a stretch that is this boring since last winter. It has been an awful long time since we have had a couple weeks like this. Forecasting this has made me wanna party, but I mean…I miss difficult forecasting too.

But hey, thats what winter is for. So, as we all have seen the past few days, temperatures definitely haven’t been as pleasant as they were last week. We have seen them rise into the mid and upper 80s, with dewpoints rising as well.

As you’re grabbing the bagel and cup of coffee on the way out to work, you should be expecting a pretty solid morning. Temperatures are likely to be in the mid and upper 60s for your commute. By the afternoon and evening, however, its a much different story. Highs will likely rise up, and hit, the upper 80s, and 90ºF is definitely a possibility. This is all being caused by a more dominant area of high pressure settling in across eastern portions of the US.

This will keep skies sunny, and temps warm, and that is what you can expect more of. Overnight, look for skies to remain mostly clear, with lows falling into the lower 70s.

Tomorrow: Another dose of Tuesday. Mostly sunny, with a high of 90ºF. Wed. night: Continued clear skies. Lows around 70ºF.

You want more of Tuesday’s weather? Well, it’s right here! I am gonna need some coffee all day if this weather keeps up.

It’s just so boring, but also so nice. Today looks no different from yesterday, other than a slight increase in temperatures. With the strong ridge hanging on, wake up temps look fairly similar to yesterday’s, as they should be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Temperatures are looking at a slight boost today, as they will likely reach the lower 90s for many of us. With dewpoints running pretty high across the region, this will just make the day that much more uncomfortable.

Those of you that really love summer-like temperatures, you can really appreciate it the next few days while you’re walking up the hill to your classes.

Overnight, look for skies to, again, remain clear, with lows around 70ºF.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high around 90ºF. Thur. night. Mostly clear, with a low around 70ºF.

Yes, I realize that this is almost the same exact forecast as I posted for Wednesday…but I can’t really help that. That is how similar these forecasts are looking.

With the ridge of sadness reigning over the Ohio Valley, heat will continue to be something we deal with. Highs in the lower 90s are looking likely, under another sunny sky.

I used to hate clouds, but a cloud or two, or three, or a million sounds pretty good right now. Just something to keep the temps down. PLEASE. My wish probably won’t get granted, though.

Overnight, we are likely to see a few clouds, but nothing major. Lows will be in the lower 70s.

Friday-Sunday: Really hot. Highs in the mid and upper 90s.

Well, the ridge that is killing us this looks to continue into your Labor Day weekend. When we get into patterns like this, it is sometimes difficult to get out of them. You’ll generally need a decent trough to sweep through and move the ridge to the west a bit.

That, however, doesn’t look to come until at least the beginning of next week, and maybe later. Therefore, we are likely looking at a really warm weekend, with highs often reaching into the mid and upper 90s. At least many of you can get out and enjoy what will likely be out last really hot weekend of the year.
