Another Hot and Sunny Forecast for BG

Real-time Bowling Green radar:

Today 6/14 – Mostly Sunny; Scat’d AM Showers Possible – High 90 /Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 73

I hope your Sunday is off to a great start this morning! Not much has changed since yesterday; in fact, you could probably use today’s forecast for the next few days. Ah, gotta love summer. High pressure is still situated over the region and is pulling southwesterly flow into Kentucky, keeping temperatures warm and skies clear. There is a slight chance for morning showers, but it should clear out before lunchtime.

Tonight should be similar to previous nights with partly cloudy skies and lows in the lower 70s. Winds will remain out of the southwest and this persistent high pressure system stays put. The next few days will feel like a repeat of the last. Wait, didn’t they make a movie about that?

Monday night should be another typical warm, summer night with low temperatures in the low 70s. No matter if you are a free-bird out of school for the summer or tied down to a work-day schedule, I hope you get the chance to take advantage of this gorgeous weather!

Tuesday 6/16 – Partly Sunny; Iso’d Storms Possible– High 90 /Tuesday Night – Partly Cloudy; Iso’d Storms Possible – Low 73

(See Monday) But seriously, another typical summer forecast for Bowling Green. High temperatures look to be around 90 degrees with an isolated pop-up thunderstorm always a possibility. A low pressure system will be starting to move into the area and rain chances could increase throughout the day depending on how fast this system moves in.

6-10 Day Temperature Outlook, courtesy NOAA

The weather doesn’t show many signs of changing in the near future. NOAA’s 6-10 Day Temperature Outlook paints a hot, humid forecast for our area with temperatures having a 60-70% probability of being above normal – so similar to what they have been. Just for perspective, the average temperature for this time of year is around the mid-80s. Keep those shorts and shades handy!
