If you have been waiting on another warm-up, you will love the forecast over the next few days. Temperatures will quickly rise into the upper 50s this afternoon ahead of an area of low pressure to our north.

An associated cold front will approach the state from the northwest later this afternoon and we can expect skies to become mostly cloudy this afternoon as a result. Southerly winds ahead of the cold front will be breezy with speeds of 10-15 mph.

A brief period of rain showers is expected overnight as the cold front passes. Rainfall duration will be short and southern Kentucky can expect around 0.1″ of precipitation.

Monday 3/30 – Mostly Sunny – High 62˚ / Mon Night – Mostly Clear – Low 39˚

Leftover cloud cover will quickly exit the region Monday morning as high pressure settles over the area. Upper-level ridging will help usher in warmer temperatures tomorrow and Tuesday. Expect highs tomorrow to reach the 60s under mostly sunny skies.

Tuesday 3/31 – Mostly Sunny – High 70˚ / Mon Night – Mostly Cloudy – Low 46˚

Another beautiful day is expected on Tuesday as temperatures make a run at 70º under mostly clear skies. Now that’s the springtime weather we have been waiting on.

Clouds will increase overnight ahead of a warm front to our south. A stray shower is possible, but most locations will stay dry with low temperatures staying mild.
